NIAA Memorial Claims Scholarship

In Honor Of David L. King, RPA

PURPOSE: To promote the claims education of potential future claims professionals as well as current personal in the claims industry.
ELIGIBILITY: The applicant must live or work in the geographic area as outlined in the NIAA by-laws (currently a 50 mile radius of Rockford, IL). Consideration will be given in the following order:

  1. A high school or college student going into the claims industry.
  2. A claims professional that is achieving a designation.
  3. A claims professional that is attending a continuing educational program.
VALUE: Up to $500.00 per recipient. The total amount awarded may be decreased depending on the number of scholarships awarded.
USED FOR: Any claims educational school, seminar or independent learning as long as it relates to claims education this would also include any travel expense.
SELECTION OF RECEIVER: NIAA Scholarship Committee will select the Scholarship Receiver based on the applications received., and bring their recommendation to the NIAA Board Of Directors for final approval.
WHEN GIVEN: The Scholarship Receiver will be announced at the NIAA Golf Outing Dinner.
